What Is Tagalong?
Tagalong is a premium add-on package for Store Locator Plus that helps categorize locations using the WordPress category manager. Doing so provides access to various advanced options for the user interface.
Custom Map Markers
Map markers can be assigned to the location categories. The map marker (icon) assigned to the category will be used on the map results for the location. As of version 0.2 of Tagalong you can opt to leave the default map marker set via “Map Settings” in place. For categories that have no marker set the default destination icon set in SLP Map Settings will be used.
Category Icons
Each category can also have a separate “medium icon” set. This is a separate image that can later referenced via other add-on packs such as the Enhanced Results add-on pack.
Assign Categories En Masse
Adds a Manage Locations admin page that allows you to assign categories to multiple locations at one time. Select the category, select the stores to assign to that category, and click “categorize”.

How Do I Get Tagalong?
Purchase Tagalong from this website. When you finalize your purchase you will receive a download link for the product. This will provide you with a downloadable zip file that you install via the WordPress Admin Panel.
Once installed, activate the plugin. You will see a Taglong entry on the sidebar menu and on the top of the Store Locator Plus admin pages.
How Do I Assign Icons?
Go to the Tagalong page and click on Category Manager. This will bring you to the Store Locator Plus categories page. Add or edit categories and enter the fully qualified URL for the icon and map marker for each category. Once you have setup your category images you can go back to the Manage Locations interface and edit each location to assign the category you want to use for the map marker.
How Do I Upload Icons?
Use the media manager to upload your custom icons and map markers. The media manager will show you the fully qualified URL.
How Do I Disable Custom Markers?
Version 0.2 has an option to use the default map markers throughout.
Displaying The Medium Icon
There is a setting for the medium icon that can be set on a per-category basis. Unlike the map markers, there is no “click-and-done” option to render the icons on the search results. While this may be added in the future, as of version 0.2 of Tagalong you can render the icons by utilizing Enhanced Results version 0.4 and setting a custom results string. Enter <img src=”{18.tagalongmedicon}”/> in the results output will place the medium icon in the search results.

Download & Install
Enhanced Search is an “unlocked” product, meaning there is no license key. When you complete your purchase you will be provided with a download link for the zip file. To install:
- Make sure you have Store Locator Plus installed.
- Login to your site as a site administrator.
- Select “Plugins / Add New” on the admin sidebar.
- Select “Upload” and choose your newly downloaded file.
- Activate.
